Meet Pix the pet that grows on your Clix
A Simple Click. A Growing Companion.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve stimmed to help regulate whether it was rubbing fabric together or endlessly clicking a pen. Fast forward to today, and I’m home-educating my 12-year-old neurodivergent son.
One term, we needed a computing project, and we both wanted to build something using a Raspberry Pi. I’d had an idea floating around in my head for a few years, born from our shared love for the deeply satisfying ‘thock’ or ‘click’ of mechanical keyboard switches and childhood memories of digital pets. Six weeks of intense learning and switch-testing later, Clix was born.
Inside every Clix lives PIX a tiny pixel creature that grows, evolves, and progresses as you click.
Unlike the virtual pets of the past, there is no remorse here. If you don't use it for a few days, PIX won't get sick or die. There are no downsides or punishments just a pure stim device that rewards you during tough moments.
We believe the modern world has become dominated by notifications, endless scrolling, and highly stimulating devices designed to trap our attention. Clix takes a completely different approach:
No social media.
No adverts.
No dopamine-farming algorithms.
Just a beautifully simple device designed to provide satisfying tactile feedback, gentle progression, and a moment of calm. Whether you're neurodivergent, someone who fidgets while working, or simply looking for a healthier alternative to reaching for your phone, Clix was built for you.
We're currently testing Prototype V1.0 and documenting the journey as we turn a simple father-and-son project into a real product.
We hope you'll join us for the adventure.
